Libby Meyers

Specialist: Early Education Curriculum

Libby Meyers is a first grade teacher at the Shady Hill School in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Prior, Libby served as the Head Teacher in the first and second grade at the Eliot-Pearson Children's School, which serves as the laboratory school for Tufts University. In this position, she gained particular expertise in developing and implementing curriculum in mathematics and literacy. As the first and second grade head teacher, Libby was also responsible for mentoring a teaching team of six graduate students. She has extensive experience conducting informal and formal assessments and has built strong connections and partnerships with parents. Prior to teaching at Tufts University, Libby taught kindergarten at a private school in Manhattan. She holds a Masters Degree in Childhood Education from the Bank Street College of Education in New York City and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Middlebury College. She is certified by the state of Massachusetts to teach grades K-6.
